CANTI

PHILIPPE_HUREL_CANTI_CONSOLE_1-2.jpg

Description

Design by Allen Kirsch

The Canti console - or "cantilever" in English - appears as a challenge to gravity, with a tabletop that seems to stretch out over the void to better integrate with its environment. As a source of inspiration, the famous "House on the Waterfall", designed by the American architect Frank Lloyd Wright for the businessman Edgar J Kaufmann, a construction overlooking the Run Bear River in perfect osmosis with the surrounding nature. The top and body of the Canti console are made of hammered Sulfur lacquer while the bronze medal highlights the spacer. This piece complements a coffee table and its end of sofa of the same family already present in the collection.
