LEATHER
The leather used by Philippe Hurel's establishment is completely natural full-grain French calfskin, from a tannery in the Vosges. In fact, the manufactory has been working with the same tannery for a good quarter of a century.
Depending on the type of order, leathers are delivered by the half-skin (measuring approximately 2.50 sq.m), rolled and already dyed to the colour specifications developed by the manufactory's colourists.
After an indispensable quality control of the skins, each piece of leather is cut and assembled in the workshop. Then, during the sewing process, stitching and top stitching are always performed by hand.
