From the most experienced craftsman to the apprentice, the transmission of know-how has been at the heart of the workshops and the philosophy of Maison Philippe Hurel for more than 110 years.

Each year, the Coulombs Furniture Factory, its manufacturing entity, welcomes and trains the outstanding craftspeople of tomorrow. Thus, for several decades, within our workshops, the masters of each of our trades train and mentor young professionals with the desire to pass on their experience and passion for excellence.

Quentin Halle is one of them...

Quentin Halle

After starting his career at the factory with a carpentry internship during his vocational baccalaureate, Quentin opted for hands-on workshop training. He then began a vocational certificate (CAP) in cabinetmaking in the region and participated in the Best Apprentice of France competition, earning several departmental and regional awards.

Building on the recognition of his peers, he began a Vocational Diploma in Artistic Crafts (BMA) while continuing to work in the workshops of the Coulombs Furniture Factory. Quentin's apprenticeship was enriched throughout these six years of collaboration, encompassing everything from cabinetmaking and machining to finishing, assembly, installation, and shipping. In 2021, he graduated with a vocational diploma in artistic crafts.

He designed the spirits bar project associated with obtaining his diploma under the demanding direction of Sébastien François, Head of the Cabinetmaking Workshop and Terence Mesguich, Artistic Director of Maison Philippe Hurel.

Inspired by both the Art Deco period and the geometric work of Piet Mondrian, the Stills spirits bar is designed to house its fortunate owner's most prized bottles.

Clad in rare woods whose origin is linked to the various spirits it contains: American walnut for an exceptional Bourbon, Japanese elm for the finest Japanese Whisky…

A frame and base of solid brushed brass encase the five compartments containing the precious bottles and everything needed for their enjoyment.

The compartments are also inlaid with this luminous alloy, highlighting the bar's contours and creating a delicate trompe-l'oeil effect when viewed from the front.

Opening the door of each compartment activates a subtle light that showcases the spirits collection.

The brass and precious woods are complemented in the center of the bar by a luminous alabaster insert, shining like a talisman.

Stills, the exceptional spirits bar created by Quentin Halle for Maison Philippe Hurel, is undoubtedly a true gem.
