With its clean, generous lines, the Alison coffee table is transformed by the interplay of materials. The sandblasted larch wood's natural texture is used to create a highly ornamental frieze, a kind of mosaic that plays with the wood grain to create geometric patterns. The two superimposed tabletops are paired with a finely chiseled cast brass base whose undulations echo those of the wood. Combining shadow and light, the matte finish of the wood and the gleam of the bronze patina, Alison commands attention with its elegance and strong presence.
