Parchment

An extremely thin parchment (made of goatskin) is used to cover some exceptional pieces of furniture created by Philippe-Hurel.

The decorative panels or the seat base of the Tadeus bench are elegantly covered in milky white parchment by expert hands.

Fixing with water, masking, light polishing, dyeing or patina or even waxing, the process is exclusively artisanal and manual and requires hours of work depending on the specific shape requested before the parchment is applied.

A touch of nobility that requires craftsmanship and know-how that Philippe Hurel intends to prevent from disappearing into the annals of the lost arts of yesteryear.
