Exclusive lacquers
Laque martelée
The result of ongoing research and the virtuosity of the Philippe Hurel workshops, the new hammered lacquer completes the collection's range of exclusive finishes. A play of reflections and relief, the lacquer is subtly textured to give an impression of embossing. Satin or glossy, it is available in four shades: Bronze, Sulfur, Stainless Steel, and Moon. A fabulous alternative to metallization, it displays all its nuances on the Canti console, the Milos mirror, and the Jack pedestal table for this 2021 collection.

LACQUE Washi
The Washi lacquer range, exclusive to Philippe Hurel, has been expanded with three new seasonal shades inspired by nature: Celadon, Chalk, and Pebble. The colors are expertly combined, and the lacquers are layered one after the other, creating a brushed, grid-like pattern reminiscent of the most delicate Japanese papers. A subtle interplay of tones and techniques creates the sensation of a raised surface, animated by the vibrations of light, and adds beauty to the furniture.
An exquisite combination of colors and layered shades, the lacquer has a deep texture that gives an impression of relief and a brushed, painted appearance. Available in satin and glossy finishes, Washi enhances any surface.

lacque TrADITIONNELLE
Maison Philippe Hurel offers a range of exclusive lacquers based on traditional expertise, paying homage to ancestral techniques and a constantly reinvented artistic expression. Inlaying amber, mother-of-pearl or gold reliefs into the material, like Aubane, the other technique known as Coromandel, consists of applying the lacquer in successive layers to obtain a thickness in which deep incisions are made. The lacquer with a glossy finish, sometimes decorated, demonstrates great resistance.
